Course Overview

The Bachelor of Biomedical (Hons) at City University Malaysia is the “Laboratory Scientist” degree. It is the bridge between clinical medicine and biological research, designed for those who want to solve health crises by studying the human body at the molecular and cellular levels. This program focuses on the science behind the cure. While doctors treat patients, Biomedical Scientists analyze the samples to find the cause of the illness. You will master critical fields such as Medical Genetics, Toxicology, and Immunology. By studying the intersection of our environment and our biology, you will learn how external factors—like Air & Water Quality or Toxic Waste—trigger diseases in humans. This degree prepares you to work in high-stakes environments, from Hospital Diagnostic Labs and Forensic Science to Pharmaceutical Research and Development.
