Course Overview

The Bachelor of Environmental Health (Hons) at City University Malaysia is a professional degree for the “Guardians of Public Safety.” It is designed for those who want to investigate, manage, and prevent health risks caused by our surroundings. While a diploma focuses on the basics, this Honours Degree dives deeper into the science of prevention and policy leadership. You will master the “Seven Pillars” of public safety: Food & Water Quality, Air Pollution Control, Vector-borne Disease Management (like Dengue or Malaria), and Occupational Health. You will be trained to act as a scientific detective, using data to track how global health trends and environmental changes affect local communities. This program prepares you for high-level roles as an Environmental Health Officer (EHO), Safety Manager, or Public Health Consultant.
