Course Overview

The Bachelor of Fashion Design (Hons) at City University Malaysia is the “Creative Director’s” pathway. It is an advanced, high-level degree designed to transform your artistic vision into a professional brand, moving beyond simple garment construction to master the entire Fashion Design Lifecycle. This program is built on a Studio-Based Learning model, meaning your classroom is a professional workspace. You will move past the basics to explore the deep “Science of Aesthetics”—mastering the strategic use of Complex Color Palettes, Human Figure Proportions, and Textile Engineering. Unlike a diploma, this Honours degree focuses on Project-Based Learning, where you are tasked with creating full collections from scratch. By the time you graduate, you will have developed a “Lifelong Learning” mindset, allowing you to adapt to ever-changing global trends as a Fashion Designer, Textile Consultant, or Creative Lead in the industry.
