Course Overview

The Bachelor of Occupational Safety and Health (Hons) at City University Malaysia is the “Safety Leadership” program. It is designed to turn you into a protector of the workforce, ensuring that every employee—whether in a high-rise construction site or a chemical plant—returns home safely at the end of the day. This program stands out for its inclusive and accessible design, opening the doors of the “Safety & Health” profession to a wider range of students. You will move beyond simple rules and learn the high-level science of Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment (HIRARC), and Industrial Hygiene. By studying the intersection of law, engineering, and human psychology, you will be trained to design safety systems that prevent accidents before they happen. This degree is the gold standard for those aiming to become a Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO), a HSE Manager, or a Workplace Consultant.
