Course Overview

The Master of Sport Studies (By Research) at City University Malaysia is the “High-Performance Analyst” program. It is an elite research degree designed for professionals who want to move beyond the gym floor and into the laboratory of Sports Science Innovation, where data and research drive the next generation of athletic success. This program focuses on the Future of Human Performance. Rather than following a standard classroom schedule, you will work under the guidance of Experienced Mentors to lead your own scientific investigations. Through a mix of Seminars, Workshops, and Industry Collaborations, you will explore “Emerging Trends” such as Wearable Tech Analytics, Advanced Nutrition, and Injury Prevention Science. By engaging directly with industry partners, you ensure your research is “Applied”—meaning it solves real-world problems for athletes and sports organizations. You will graduate as a “Specialist Scientist” capable of leading High-Performance Departments, Sports Research Centers, or Elite Training Academies.
