About MONASH University Malaysia
Welcome to Monash University Malaysia! Founded in 1998, we are the third-largest campus of Australia’s biggest university and the very first foreign university campus established in Malaysia. As a top-tier, research-focused Australian institution, we consistently rank among the world’s top 100 universities according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. We are also proud members of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight (Go8) and were placed 55th in the QS World University Rankings for 2021. Program Outline
Monash University Malaysia offers a wide range of academic programs through its seven schools: Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Medicine and Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Science, and Arts & Social Sciences. Students can choose from diverse undergraduate pathways, including broad generalist degrees in arts, science, and business, as well as specialized programs in medicine, engineering, IT, pharmacy, and other fields. The curriculum is designed to be both rigorous and industry-relevant, with many programs offering professional accreditation. For postgraduate studies, the university offers both coursework and research degrees, including Master’s and PhD programs, which are recognized worldwide. Additionally, Monash Malaysia offers a one-year Diploma of Higher Education Studies as an alternative pathway, allowing students to study first-year units across multiple schools and qualify for the second year of a chosen bachelor’s degree. The university also facilitates double degrees, enabling students to pursue two disciplines concurrently, and honours programs for high-achieving students seeking deeper specialization or research opportunities.
