Program Outline
Universiti Malaya-Wales (UM-Wales) organizes its academic offerings into foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs across three main faculties: the Faculty of Business, the Faculty of Arts and Science, and the Centre of Foundation, Language and Malaysian Studies. The foundation pathway provides two one-year options: a Foundation in Science, which covers subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics to prepare students for STEM degrees, and a Foundation in Arts, which offers streams in Business or Media as a prerequisite for degrees in arts, humanities, law, or social sciences. For bachelor’s degrees, the Faculty of Business offers programs in fields like Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, International Business, Islamic Finance, Marketing, and Accounting, while the Faculty of Arts and Science provides degrees in Psychology, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Professional Communication. Postgraduate offerings include MBA, Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), PhD in Business, as well as master’s and PhD programs in Internet Engineering and Professional Communication. Notably, many of these bachelor’s programs are offered as Dual Awards in partnership with the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD), meaning eligible graduates receive certifications from both UM-Wales and UWTSD.
