Course Overview
The Diploma in Architectural Technology at City University Malaysia is the “Technical Architect” program. It is designed for those who want to turn creative concepts into buildable, safe, and functional structures using the latest industry technology. This program focuses on the science and mechanics of buildings. While an architect might focus on the “look,” an Architectural Technologist focuses on how it all fits together. You will master the technical side of the industry, including Building Services (electrical and plumbing systems), Construction Materials, and Structural Integrity. A massive part of your training will be digital; you will become an expert in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and 3D Modeling (BIM) software, learning to produce the precise blueprints and technical documents that contractors need to begin building.
