Course Overview

The Diploma in Interior Design at City University Malaysia is the “Space Transformer” program. It is designed for creative individuals who want to move beyond decorating and start professionally designing functional, safe, and beautiful indoor environments. This program bridges the gap between artistic vision and technical reality. You won’t just learn about color palettes; you will master the “technical backbone” of the industry, including Space Planning, Building Regulations, and Lighting Design. You will be trained to use industry-standard software to create 3D visualizations, ensuring your ideas are both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound. Beyond the drawing board, the program emphasizes Communication and Ethics, preparing you to manage clients, negotiate with contractors, and navigate the high-stakes global design market.
