Course Overview

The Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) at City University Malaysia is the degree for the “Medical Detectives.” It is designed for those who want to work behind the scenes in healthcare, using science and technology to uncover the truth about a patient’s health. While doctors and nurses work directly with patients, MLTs work with the data. You will receive intensive training in Hematology (blood study), Microbiology (bacteria and viruses), and Clinical Biochemistry. You will learn to operate high-tech diagnostic machinery and conduct precise tests—from identifying infections to detecting early signs of cancer. This program provides the hands-on laboratory experience required to provide the accurate results that doctors rely on to save lives.
