Course Overview

The Foundation in Arts (Built Environment) at City University Malaysia is the “Drafting Board” for your future career in design. It is the essential first step for students who want to shape the physical world around them. Unlike a general art course, this program is specifically engineered as a direct bridge to two major professions: Architecture and Interior Design. It moves you away from standard high school subjects and introduces you to Design Studio Culture. You will learn the basics of Technical Drawing, Spatial Awareness, and Design Theory. This “Year Zero” ensures that when you enter your rigorous Bachelor’s degree, you already know how to think, draw, and build like a designer.
